Andrew William Teiberis, age 88, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2024. Husband of the late Sandra Lou Teiberis (nee Bodolay). Beloved father of Kelly Teiberis Schmid (Tom), Michael Teiberis (deceased), Julie Teiberis and Amie Teiberis Hatlovic. Grandfather of Ryan Schmid, Anna Schmid, Marie Schmid, Andy Schmid, Zach Hatlovic, Morgan Hatlovic, Steve Teiberis, Dan Teiberis, and Scott Teiberis. Great-grandfather of seven. Beloved Son of Anthony Teiberis and Alena Teiberis.
Andy was a graduate of Bay High School and Kent State University. He was a Certified Public Accountant and began his career at Peat Marwick Mitchell, after serving in the Army and the Ohio National Guard Reserve. He would later serve as Treasurer and Controller at Laub Baking Company; AVP at Ameritrust (Key Bank), and Corporate Controller at American Koyo Corporation of U.S.A., before starting his own accounting practice, A.W. Teiberis & Co., in 1982. Throughout the years, Andy formed lifelong relationships with many loyal clients, some who would remain with him for 40 years, until his retirement in 2022.
Andy was an avid player and watcher of golf. He was a prior Senior Club Champion at Elyria Country Club. During his years in Bay Village, he played in several bowling leagues and in a poker club. He served as president of St. Raphael's Parish Council, the church of which his father was a founding member. Andy enjoyed attending live music events with his wife and friends and traveling to the mountains and beaches of the Carolinas to spend time with family. But most of all, he loved to watch his grandchildren's sporting and other events, always being their cheerleader. Private Services at the request of the family.
