A compassionate soul, Carol Kula passed away suddenly on July 16, 2024, in Amherst, Ohio. She was 57 years old. She was born in Elyria, Ohio, on October 7, 1966, to her loving parents, the late Stanley Kula and Barbara Ruth.
She was a devoted pet lover to several furry companions during her life. She found joy in raising dogs, and when she passed, she was caring for her three beloved cats, each of whom provided her with comfort and companionship.
In addition to her fondness for animals, Carol had a creative side. She enjoyed crocheting beautiful items, spending time exploring local flea markets, and finding unique treasures. Her vibrant personality not only led her to make new friends effortlessly, but she also never failed to lend a helping hand to those in need. This made her a wonderful substitute teacher.
Carol will be loved dearly by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth DeKam, her son, Brian DeKam, Jr., and her grandson, Matthew Ploeckelmann. Carol is also remembered by her siblings: Michael Kula, Diane Keegan, Kathie Kula, Mary Santana, and Richard Kula. She held a special place in the hearts of many nieces and nephews, who cherished their loving aunt and great-aunt.
Carol left an indelible mark on the world around her through her love and generosity. May she be fondly remembered for her cheerful spirit, unwavering support, and love she shared with humans and animals.
