Damian Mark Caldwell, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend to so many, passed away suddenly on May 6, 2024, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was born to his devoted parents, Ginger Pettiford-Moore and Dwayne Caldwell on October 14, 1993.
He was very intelligent and loved to laugh and joke. When he was little, he never liked to wear clothes and was always into mischief. As he got older, he enjoyed getting dressed up and having his hair braided by his sisters. A lover of life, Damian knew how to cherish every moment he had, whether playing cards and shooting dice, listening to countless hours of music, or taking time to enjoy the adventures that reading allowed him to go on. He took joy in drawing, becoming an amazing artist, and truly loved dogs. Yet at his core, Damian loved to learn about Jesus and God and shared his faith with those who loved him.
His untimely death is a tragedy to all who knew and loved him, including his beloved parents; his siblings, Kimball D. Pettiford Preyor, Meoshia N., Sharie L., and Karena B. Moore, Djuan R., Derrick, Dwayne and DeAsia Caldwell; and his nieces and nephews, Chaz J. Johnson, Jr., Royaltie Henderson, Kamiya D. Pettiford-Preyor, Zion M. Moore Rivera Ja'Veyah K. and Azariah S. Shabazz, Sir Legend D. Israel, Dression K. Price and Dreko M. Moore.
Private services were held, and arrangements were entrusted to Simplicity Cremation.
