Diane Karen Wert

Diane Karen Wert, 80, of North Olmsted, passed away peacefully at home, August 8, 2024. 

 Born August 21, 1943 in Cleveland to Margaret (Richter) Luke and Roland W. Luke.

 She attended Holy Trinity School, St. Joseph School, and Avon Lake High School. She completed her nursing degree and worked for Rae Ann Westlake. 

 She is survived by her children: Richard (Renee) Wert, Belinda (Bruce) Groene, David (Stacy) Wert, Kary (Matt) Hoersten. Grandchildren: Nicole (Curt) Herron, Joshua Wert, Curtis Hutchison, Lindsey Hutchison (Jack), Jessica (Brian) Linsky, Zachary Groene, Nolan Groene, Bella Hoersten, Sophia Hoersten, Ava Hoersten, Emma Hoersten, and Seth Hoersten. Five great-grandchildren. Siblings: Howard (Chris) Luke, William Luke, and Mary Arnett, along with numerous nieces and nephews. 

 Preceded in death by both of her parents, and brother, Richard Luke and sister in law, Patricia Luke

 She was especially grateful for her closest friends who were like family: Geulia and Lenn Schmidt, Gina and Tom Escke, Geny and Scott Nowak, Jill and Ray Krakowski, and Gail Group. 

 Tender care was provided by Elara Caring Hospice. 

 As per Diane’s request no funeral or memorial service will be held.
