Donna Vernon

Donna Vernon passed away peacefully on June 9, 2024, in Lorain, Ohio. Born on October 24, 1946, in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, she was one of five children born to Harry and Mary (nee Rockridge) Tharp.

Donna loved her plants and the flowers that budded from them. She loved her Siamese cat Annie, who she use to say brought her “belly laughs every day!” Grandma Donna took great pride in her great grand-puppies: Diesel & Tucker; after 2 years she was finally starting to remember which was the Boston Terrier, and which was the Bulldog!

She is survived by her daughter, Yvette (nee Vernon) Cepec (Frank); grandchildren, Courtney (nee Cepec) Zubek (Alex), Carrie Cepec, Kira Vernon-Stepro (Army Clay), William “Billy” Vernon, and great-grandchildren: Army, Paislyn, Shiloh, Elias, Jett, and Navi Clay. Donna will also be fondly remembered by her brother, Harry Tharp Jr.

Donna was preceded in death by her son, William “Billy” Vernon Jr., and siblings, Sam Tharp, Janet Belsan and Bonnie Miller.
