James R. Rodes

James "Jimmy" R. Rodes, a cherished son, brother, and uncle, passed away on June 19, 2024, in Cleveland, Ohio. 

His adventure known as life, began on October 26, 1978, also in Cleveland, Ohio, as the beloved son of Jerry (Melaine) Rodes and Margaret "Peggy" Miller. 

With a profound love of nature, Jimmy spent countless hours amidst the serene beauty of New River Gorge National Park in West Virginia. A passion for culinary arts led him to pursue a career as a chef, allowing him to share a good meal with others important to him. Reflecting his adventurous spirit, Jimmy had a fondness for trucks. 

James held a special place in the hearts of his dear siblings: Thomas Rodes, Danielle McDonagh, Janelle and George Rodes-White, Paul and Kat Rodes, and Sara Rodes; step-siblings: Corey and Jen Tufts and Trevor and Amanda Tufts. He also leaves behind his faithful four-legged companion, Brooker. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret "Peggy" Miller, his nephew, Matthew Rodes, and his loving grandmother, Shirley Pittman Rodes. 

Per his wishes, he was cremated, and there will be a private family service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asked for memorial donations to your local animal shelter.
