John W. Barber, a respected Certified Public Accountant, and a dedicated public servant, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2024, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was born on March 12, 1951, in Coldwater, Michigan.
Throughout his career, John made significant contributions to the community through his work at the Lucas County Board of Health, where he offered his expertise in accounting and finance. His professionalism and commitment to his field earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.
John is remembered not only for his professional achievements but for his devotion to his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Christine (nee Mordenski) Barber; his son, Jeffrey Barber; and his daughter, Stacey Wilke. John also cherished his relationships with his parents, John R. and Vernice (nee Tighe) Barber, who provided him with the values and support that shaped his life and career.
His legacy will continue through the many lives he touched, both professionally and personally. As a husband, father, and friend, John will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
