John "JDub" Williams, 59, passed away on February 7, 2025, in Westlake, Ohio. Born on August 23, 1965, in Cleveland, Ohio, John lived a life filled with passion, dedication, and an undeniable love for food, music, and the people around him.
John built an impressive career in the culinary world, leaving his mark on several renowned establishments. He served as a Traveling Opener for The Cheesecake Factory and held executive chef positions at Yard House and House of Blues Cleveland. His leadership extended to Dave & Buster’s, where he worked as an Executive Kitchen Manager and Chef. Through his work, John not only crafted exceptional dishes but also mentored countless individuals in the industry, sharing his expertise and enthusiasm for the culinary arts.
Beyond his professional achievements, John was a devoted father and grandfather. He is survived by his daughter Makayla Williams; his son Isaiah Williams; Neiko "The Grandneikos" Greene; daughter Breanna Bohaychyk; and grandchildren Olivia, Bradley, and Tanner Bohaychyk. He also leaves behind his brother Tom Barnes. John was preceded in death by his mother Magnolia Jackson and his father Leroy Jackson.
Those who knew John will remember him for his infectious smile, joyous eyes, and goofy personality that could light up any room. A man of brilliance and wit, he was not only a great father but also a wonderful friend to many. Whether enjoying a strong cup of coffee or immersing himself in music and culinary arts, John embraced life with warmth and enthusiasm.
