Jon Leslie Cox

Jon Leslie Cox gently rowed into the afterlife on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He is now in the company of angels where he will direct them on precisely where and just how to hang their artwork, what color the walls should be, and let God know which color combinations would best suit His creations. 

Born in Barberton, Ohio he is the exceptionally beloved partner in crime, teammate and husband for 33 years of James. He is the son of Austin Edward and Jean Marilyn, brother of the late Jerrol, Jeff (Linda), Jason(Jan), and Joy. Uncle to Nichole (Michael), Austin, Miranda, Samantha, Hayden, Ronald, Anastacia, Stephanie (Jason), John (Jackie), Nicholas (Sydney), Jeffrey (Jen), Kyle (Claudia), Catherine (Cody), Josef (Miranda), Robert, and Judy. Great uncle to Declan, John, Luke, Nicholas, Francisco, Benson, Claire, Diane and Rowen. 

He will be dearly missed by the rowing community, colleagues, a vast multitude of friends, and his entire family. 

Service and inurnment will be Saturday, July 27 at 10:00 AM, Wade Chapel, Lake View Cemetery 12316 Euclid Ave. A celebration of his life to immediately follow.
