Pascual "Blackie" Maldonado

May 7, 1974 — February 27, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pascual “Blackie” Maldonado, who passed away on February 27, 2025, in Cleveland, Ohio, at the age of 50. He was surrounded by his loved ones at the time of his passing.

Pascual was born on May 7, 1974, in Brooklyn, New York. He was the loving partner of Natasa Jevtic, the love of his life, with whom he shared over 20 years. Pascual is also survived by his brother, Jose Maldonado (Janet Maldonado) and his sister Elizabeth Ruiz. He was a Proud Uncle to Julissa, Jon, Joshua, Matthew, Justin, Justine, and Thalia. He was also a loving cousin to many.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Ann Ruiz, his father, Leonico Delgado, and his sister, Jessie Maldonado.

Pascual was known for his deep loyalty and love for his family. His personality was as big as his heart, and his love for others was unwavering. He had a passion for video games and spent over seven years playing with his close friends Puncho, Syco, and Marcus. Blackie was someone who could always be counted on for talking smack and cussing up a storm, all in good fun. It was his way of showing affection and camaraderie, and his friends will forever remember the playful banter and laughter they shared. He also loved New York-style pizza and was a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees, rarely seen without his Yankees hat.

Pascual had a special fondness for his favorite local breakfast diners. He would often give waitresses a hard time, making sure his order was always just right. His stubbornness and sense of humor were part of what made him so memorable to those around him.

Pascual was also a great-uncle to many, and he cherished his role in the lives of his nieces and nephews. His free-spirited nature, loyalty, and love for others will be deeply missed. Pascual lived life on his own terms—no one could tell him otherwise—and left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Pascual’s passing has left a profound void in the lives of everyone who knew him. His absence will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and anyone who had the privilege of experiencing his loyalty, humor, and free-spirited nature. He will be missed beyond words.
