Rosa Moncayo

Rosa Moncayo, a cherished daughter, and loving mother, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2024, in Cleveland, Ohio. Born on March 21, 1950, in the vibrant country of Ecuador, she carried the warmth and spirit of her homeland throughout her life. Rosa's journey, filled with love and resilience, touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

The heart and soul of her family, Rosa was the beloved daughter of Jorge Moncayo and Marina Fuentes. She found joy in her role as a mother, nurturing her children with unwavering dedication. Her legacy continues through her beloved offspring: Jorge Parra, Marina (David, Sr.) Velez, Jennifer Moncayo, and Jonathan Ramos (Sophia Rivera). Each child carries a piece of her spirit and values, reflecting the profound influence she had on their lives. She shared special and treasured moments with her grandchildren, Rosa, Chanthel and Delaney Velez, Antonio Moncayo, Jonathan Ramos, Jr., Julian Ramos and David Velez, Jr. and her great-grandchildren, Noah and Selena McCoy, Mia and Lily Durham and Sebastian Vazquez. She was always grateful for the blessings that each of them had in her life. 

Rosa was the loving wife of Arturo Parra, and together they created a life full of love expressed through their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Rosa's life was a testament to the beauty of family and the strength that comes from unity. She leaves behind a tapestry of memories woven from laughter, love, and shared experiences, forever etched in the hearts of her surviving family members. As they come together to honor her memory, they will undoubtedly find solace in the bonds she forged and the legacy she has imparted.

Her passing has left an irreplaceable void in the lives she touched, yet her spirit will forever shine brightly in the hearts of her family, reminding them to cherish each moment and to celebrate the love that transcends all boundaries. Rosa Moncayo's life may have concluded on this earthly plane, but her vibrant spirit will continue to inspire and uplift those who carry her memory forward.
