Sandra Deane Sloane Oravec

Sandra "Sandy" Deane Sloane Oravec, age 71, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2024. Born on August 31, 1952, to her loving parents, the late Benjamin Harrison Sloane and Dorothy Pomeroy Sloane, Sandy was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Beloved wife of David Raymond Oravec, Sandy was the devoted mother of Deanne Stoicoiu Hudak (Joseph T. Hudak) and Thomas Peter Stoicoiu Jr. (Krista Gutoskey Stoicoiu). She was the proud and cherished grandmother of Peyton Emily Hudak, Bentley Sloane Stoicoiu, and Caleb Thomas Stoicoiu. Sandy was also a dear sister to Don Sloane (Lyn Burson), Tom Sloane (Lori), and Sally Sloane Botson (Dale Botson), and a treasured aunt to a host of nieces and nephews.

Sandy's heart was always with her family. She cherished the moments spent with her children and grandchildren, watching them grow and celebrating their achievements. Her favorite gatherings were "wings and rings" meals shared with her siblings, filled with laughter and love.

In her free time, Sandy found joy in exploring state parks with her husband, Dave. She relished quiet mornings with a cup of coffee on her patio, surrounded by the beauty of her flower beds and gardens, always in the company of her beloved dogs, especially her boxers.

Family and friends are welcome on Sunday, June 30, 2024, from 2 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 3 p.m., at North Eaton Christian Church 35895 Royalton Rd. Grafton, OH 44044, where a Celebration of Life will be held immediately following Services.
